Overview

Barrettine Garden Furniture Cleaner is an easy-to-use spray solution for cleaning wooden garden furniture. Also suitable for cleaning plastic patio furniture and outdoor metal furniture.

Application

Always do a test area before starting any project and follow the manufacturer's instructions on the bottle at all times.

Regular Use

Barrettine Garden Furniture Cleaner should be sprayed on to the furniture surface and wiped with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth to lift surface dirt and grease, turning the cloth frequently
Allow wooden surfaces to fully dry before recoating

Removing Ingrained Dirt or Preparation for a Finish

Slightly dampen furniture surface, spray on cleaner and agitate with a stiff bristled brush in the direction of the wood grain to loosen any ingrained dirt and debris
Rinse with clean water and allow to dry before application of a protective finish as necessary
Successive applications may be required to remove ingrained staining

Please Note: Severe greying of wood will require a specialist cleaner for full restoration of the natural colour.

This product will not eliminate mould staining and is not suitable for indoor furniture.

Finishing

Once fully dry, a suitable exterior wood oil or stain can be applied.

It actually works

Used this to clean up a rather neglected wooden table and chairs before oiling them. It worked far better than I thought - cleaned it but also got rid of the grey so the finished result was back to the original colour.

Product is fine but because they have decided to re brand it [but you tell me its precisely the same product inside ] i am waiting ages for more of it to finish the job ]so ;- good product , poor project management at supplier as my two orders were only a week or so apart.

As good as other teak cleaners

It does the job although you still need to give the wood a good scrub to remove the mould. Being in a spray bottle makes it easier to apply, except my teak table has gaps between the slats so I sprayed it into a small dish and used a paint brush to apply it.
