Osmo Teak Oil Spray is only suitable for bare wood or previously oiled garden furniture and decking. Suitable for use on Teak, Garapa, Meranti, Koto, Bangkirai, Massaranduba and Iroko as well as other hardwoods. It can also be used on pressure impregnated wood like Pine.
Also available in larger (non sprayable) tin sizes. See Osmo Teak Oil (007).
Wood to be treated must be clean, dry and frost-free (moisture content maximum. 20%) before applying Osmo Teak Oil Spray.
Always do a test area before starting any project to test suitability and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the container at all times.
When renovating previously oiled garden furniture, one coat application is usually sufficient. Clean spray nozzle after use.
Osmo Teak Oil Spray is clear and does not contain any UV filters so the wood will turn grey / silver over time. If the original colour tone of freshly sawn wood should be kept (e.g. Bangkirai), we recommend applying a coat of Osmo Decking Oil in a natural shade or Osmo Natural Oil Woodstain in an appropriate colour tone.
Wooden surfaces treated with Osmo Teak Oil Spay should require little aftercare.
Brush over wooden surface with a medium bristle bush to remove surface dirt and debris. A damp cloth can also be used to wipe off liquid and food spillages.
For stubborn marks, stains, mould and algae, we recommend cleaning with Osmo Decking Cleaner (8025) or other suitable exterior wood cleaner for oiled surfaces. For wood that has turned grey through sun and water damage, we recommend first restoring the colour with Osmo Wood Reviver Gel (6609) before re-oiling.
For areas that have become badly discoloured, scuffed or scratched, use a light abrasive to rub back the affected area before re-applying a small amount of Osmo Teak Oil Spay to the damaged areas for a seamless repair.
