Did you know we've written a series of three detailed blog posts about how to keep garden decking looking gorgeous, including some of the products we highly recommend for the job?
Ensure that surfaces to be treated are clean and free from all surface coatings and contaminates before treating.
Always do a test area before starting any project and follow the manufacturer's instructions on the container at all times.
Always wear gloves and protective eye wear when using this product.
Once treated, garden furniture and other garden wood should be treated further to offer the best all-round protection.
If surfaces treated with Osmo Wood Reviver Gel start to naturally grey again over time, simply repeat the steps laid out in the Preparation and Application sections.
Amazing product - turned my grey Ipe decking back to it's bronze colour which looked back to new after oiling with clear Osmo decking oil.
Good product- butreuires going over twice sometines and may be mechanical aids to help if you have a large areas ( power tool- with soft brsh) otherwise expect lots of muscle power.
Used it on a well weathered oak porch. Brought it up really well, with not too much hard rubbing. I was very impressed.
Professional and well informed customer service led to our purchasing the ideal product to revive our oak porch. - delighted with the outcome and would definitely recommend Wood Finishes Direct and their Senior Sales Advisor Alison Oakes.
Due to Royal Mail failing to deliver on time, and with rain forecast, I applied the Osmo uv-protection oil directly to one half of the work. Once the gel arrived I applied it as directed to the outstanding half, then completed with the oil. The effectiveness of the gel is quite noticeable.
I was extremely happy with the product and the result achieved. It was excellent value for money. I had no idea a product of this kind existed and was in the process of going to extreme lengths of sanding down a cedar cabin at high labour fees. To find this gel and completely restore my cabin to its original glory and then protect the cabin with a UV oil to preserve it has been wonderful. I received excellent customer support on the phone before and after my purchase. I also received tremendous customer care support post purchase. Service was astounding. I would recommend this company definitely
This product in particular works very well with oak. The finish is excellent
Delighted with the results on well weathered windows , oak looks original.
This worked much better than expected; the door was weathered unevenly but after treating with 2 coats it came up looking pretty even.
I was sceptical about the claims, but the results were very good. The wooden windows and frames are probably over 70 years old, but the product did a very good job in revitalising them. The majority of properties in my area have modern plastic double glazing, but I will be able to keep my old windows, thanks to the wood reviver.
I am naturally thrifty and always trying to find the best product but pay a realistic price for. I have tried lots of decking cleaning products (always at the budget and mid range) and never found anything that actually works... this stuff is the mutts nuts! I have a lot of decking, (about 200 metre squared of yellow balau) and I am cleaning and oiling it in smaller sections and it will look like new. This is a brilliant product and you will not feel you have been ripped off when you use it! I plan to do the same every two years as i am sure this willl keep it looking new. Highly recommended!
It's a wonder wood gel and goes the distance. I still have some remaining gel to use in the future. I do recommend placing a cloth to protect the lawn when applying the Osmo Gel. It is wise to wear rubber gloves and old clothes when energetically scrubbing!
Another good osmo product i only use this on smal areas. The areas i use it on comes back to the original timber colour
removes all silvering easily and quickly when treated the wood comes up looking as good as new. Lovely product to use - would highly recommend for any wood product
Great stuff, cleaned up the wood perfectly, restoring the beautiful golden finish
this product has removed all the silvering from the wood and allowed an even coating of Wood preservative and the Osmo Protection to give a very rich, even natural look to the wood. Super effect. I was sceptical given the scabby nature of the existing wood, but am glad I tried the combination of Reviver Gel, Barrettine Preservative and then Osma Protection Extra. The Painter said all the products were very easy to use.
Wear good rubber gloves and clothes you don't need to worry about! Forget all the nonsense about putting this product on with a scrubbing brush. That makes a horrible mess to you and your workspace! Put it on with a washing up pad (the type with a 'non-scratch pad side as well) Use the none-scratch pad side. Leave it for at least 20 mins -- come back and work it in again during that time if you like. Then get your pressure washer and hose it off. Unbelievable renovation for ageing garden furniture, the side of the shed or any wood that lives outside. One Tub will do one large piece of furniture. You will need lots of tubs!
Works fairly well to get rid of black stain on oak but need a lot of product!
My summer house was very grey and looking a bit tired. This brought back to life and ready for a coat of oil/preserver.
I recently had a conservatory added to the back of my house and the once external kitchen door now became an internal door. The grey weathered look did not fit well with the crisp new oak of the conservatory frame. I used the wood revivor and the results were stunning. The door now looks brand new. It does take elbow grease but the results are far better than sanding alone (and that is tough work as well when dealing with oak).
