Painting a Kitchen: From New Plaster to Final Finish

This project follows the complete transformation of a tired, 20-year-old new-build kitchen into a clean, modern space.

What begins as a dated room with ageing units and worn tiles quickly turns into a full renovation, with everything stripped back before the walls are re-plastered and redecorated.

Throughout the process, we also share practical decorating advice. It covers how to deal with freshly plastered walls, the correct way to apply a mist coat, and how to choose paint finishes that can withstand the heat, moisture and everyday wear that kitchens experience.

By the end of the project, the difference is dramatic. The finished kitchen not only looks brighter and more contemporary, but it also highlights just how effective modern paint technology has become in busy, high-traffic spaces where durability really matters.
