Crown Trade Covermatt Obliterating Emulsion

To achieve the best results it is important that all surfaces must be sound, clean, suitably dry and free from anything that will interfere with the adhesion of the materials to be applied.

New Surfaces

1. Porous surfaces should be coated with a mist coat of Crown Trade Covermatt Obliterating Emulsion diluted with 40% clean water by volume
2. Where clean water is not available, apply one coat of Crown Trade Covermatt Drywall Primer
3. Any areas of surface filling after priming should be touched in with the priming or mist coat diluted as for main areas
4. Powdery surfaces should be primed with one coat of Sandtex Trade Quick Drying Stabilising Soloution
5. Polished or dense surfaces should be primed with Crown Trade PX3 All Purpose Primer or where a water-based alternative is required Crown Trade PX4 All Purpose Primer.

Always make a test area before the application to judge the suitability of the product. Follow the manufacturer's instructions at all times.

Do not apply if the air or substrate temperatures are likely to fall below 8°C or when n the relative humidity is above 80% during application or the drying period.

Crown Trade Covermatt Obliterating Emulsion is designed primarily as the first paint system on new work, so overcoating with Crown Trade Covermatt Obliterating Emulsion would only be suitable over itself.

• Stir well before and during use
• Application can be performed with either a high quality medium pile roller or a good quality synthetic brush
• For airless spray dilution may be required. For further information follow the spray manufacturer's guidelines
• Allow 4 hours between coats
• Certain colours may require additional coats to give complete obliteration

This coating is for first time application and designed to be overcoated with a paint that will be more durable, if surface cleaning is necessary to remove dirt then care should be taken as the coating can be easily marked or damaged, anything more vigorous than gentle wiping with a damp detergent cloth could possibly result in burnishing or removal of the coating.
