Blanchon Remover is a heavy duty cleaner with multiple uses. Its powerful formula degreases the most stubborn of ingrained dirt and stains. Use it on water-based and solvent-based lacquered wood floors to remove previous coats of metallising polish, on plastic composite flooring to strip self-shining polish and on hard floors to clean tiles, marble and stone flooring.
It prepares tired and previously varnished wood floors for an initial coat of metallised polish, without affecting the varnish.
It is recommended that floors are dry swept or vacuumed before wet cleaning to ensure that any loose dirt and grit is removed.
Please note: Pre-varnished wood floors should be subjected to a small test patch to determine compatibility before attempting larger areas.
Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and performance. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the container at all times.
It is recommended to neutralise the alkalinity of the Remover after stripping. Add a little white wine vinegar to water and wipe the treated surface using a microfibre mop or cloth.
Please Note: Excessive use of water can damage wooden floors. Always keep the amount of water used to a minimum. Use damp cloths or mops rather than wet.
Cleaning of ToolsClean tools with water immediately after use. Do not re-use containers.
Once previous finishes have been stripped, and the surface is clean and dry, it is ready to be coated with Blanchon Protector.
Floors can be regularly cleaned with a vacuum cleaner and using a dampened, lint-free cloth or microfibre mop with Blanchon Cleaner Lisabril or for a deeper clean of stubborn stains use Blanchon Remover.
Do not use household detergents or bleaches as these will degrade the finish.
If floors begin to look worn or tired over time, occasionally apply a fresh coat of Blanchon Protector.
