Sanding previously waxed or polished surfaces can be difficult, time consuming and frustrating as the wax quickly clogs up sandpaper, requiring a constant supply of fresh sanding sheets. Woodleys Wax Remover makes quick work of the job when used in conjunction with a medium or coarse Woodleys Finishing Pad to score and break down the old coating.

- Apply Woodleys Wax and Polish Remover directly to the surface or dip steel wool into the solution and scrub the waxed surface to remove the old wax / polish layers
- For best results, use in conjunction with a Woodleys Finishing Pad
- Allow to dry for 10 minutes
- Allow 30 minutes before re-finishing wood
To test that all the wax and polish has been removed, lightly dampen the wood with a damp cloth or sponge. Where the wood darkens as a result of water penetration, then the old wax or polish has been successfully removed. If the water beads or fails to soak in to the wood, then a further application of wax and polish remover is required. Repeat this process if necessary.

Once fully cleaned and dry, bare wood surfaces can be re-finished with a suitable wood finish.

Wrong choice
Although I'm sure it does what it says, it wasn't the stripper I needed as wrong kind for the varnish I needed to remove so ended up sanding it down with a precision sander.

Excellent !
Removed dark stain very well, within 10 minutes the previous dark stain was gone. I’d definitely recommend this product.

Anti slip solution for old oak stairs
Excellent anti slip solution for old solid oak block stairs. The oak stairs surface wax was removed with Woodleys wax and polish remover. Two thin layers of Osmo polyx anti slip stair oil were applied and each layer allowed to dry overnight. The old oak appearance improved with more depth of detail character. Now able to walk up and downstairs in socks without slipping. I was surprised how efficiently the Osmo anti slip oil works.

Very effective
I was concerned that getting a wax finish off would be difficult. This was the only product I found that said it would do the job. It was great , worked really well and I would definitely recommend it.

This product really did do what it said on the tin.
It removed all the wax on my wood skirting, architrave and doors.
Using the finishing pads made the job a lot easier.
Once cleaned after using the remover, the paint adhered to the wood just as if it was new timber.
I would definitely recommend this product.
