Woodleys Flooring Oil can be used on most types of solid wood and engineered flooring. It penetrates deep into the grain of the wood to produce a tough, durable finish. Can be used as a stand alone product or used over a variety of water-based and solvent-based floor stains.
Floors to be oiled must be clean, dry and free from dust, dirt and any other surface contaminants. Floors should be well prepared and sanded to a final grit of around p120 to p150. Careful sanding is more important for floors that are to be stained to ensure a consistent finish free of imperfections, patches, swirls and other visual anomalies.
Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and final finish. Follow the manufacturers instructions on the tin at all times. Keep rooms well ventilated during application and drying.
For regular daily cleaning, wooden floors treated with Woodleys Flooring Oil can be dry swept and vacuumed to remove surface dust and dirt.
To maintain the surface finish and its protective properties, re-apply a fresh coat of Woodleys Flooring Oil, as and when required, following the Preparation and Application instructions above.
