To ensure the best results are achieved, the surface is required to be clean and dry, free from all dirt, dust and grime.

V33 Renovation Cupboard and Cabinet is not suitable for bathroom tiles

• Any aged, peeling and defective paint will need to be removed either by sanding or with the use of a paint scraper
• Extra care needs to be taken during the surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces as they may contain a dangerous amount of lead
• Remove all organic growth, such as fungal, mould, algal or lichen growths, with an antifungal mixture
• All dirt, dust grease and grime will need to be removed by washing the area with a suitable detergent
• Fill and seal surface defects, such as cracks and small holes, with an appropriate filler
• On varnished or painted wood and melamine, sand with 240 grit to provide a key for the paint to adhere to
• If being applied to Oak or raw Chestnut, it is recommended to use a suitable undercoat to block any tannin
• Gently sand down with 240 grit sandpaper if the surface is raw or porous to help the paint adhere to the surface
• Clean the surface with a soda based or sugar soap (alkaline) cleaner to eliminate any residue of previous detergents and allow to dry
• If required, rub down surfaces and then wipe off with a damp, lint-free cloth to remove dust

Always create a test area before applying to judge the effectiveness of the product and the final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin at all times.

To precisely sustain the colour consistency, purchase enough V33 Renovation Cupboard and Cabinet for each project including an adequate amount for touch-in at a future date.

Avoid applying when air or surface temperatures are likely to fall below 12ºC or exceed 25ºC during the application or the drying period and avoid or block any draughts

• Stir and blend the paint thoroughly, taking special care to work through the edges and the bottom of the tin, providing a consistent mixture throughout the paint
• Begin by painting the angles, joints and mouldings of the surface and work with small areas. Apply from one end to the other with successive cross strokes to ensure a clean and even finish
• Apply V33 Renovation Cupboard and Cabinet with a good quality round edged synthetic brush to help produce a regular and consistent finish
• The standard finishing process requires 2 full coats of V33 Renovation Cupboard and Cabinet, however this can vary if applied over a dark surface

To clean the painted surfaces, the use of a non-abrasive sponge with gentle detergents is recommended
