Protek Timber ECO Shield will prolong the beauty of your pre-treated timber project by using the latest nano-technology that leaves a waterproof finish. It can be used on all interior and exterior timber. It gives a traditional matt wood stain finish in a range of natural colours.
Timber ECO Shield also contains a mould inhibitor to protect the coating from moss and lichen. It is ideal for use on all softwood and hardwood products and is especially recommended for use on pressure treated timbers, as well as, sheds, summerhouses, timber buildings, fencing, gates, garden furniture, animal and bird housing.
It can also be used on metal, terracotta, stone and some plastics.

Ensure the wood to be treated is clean, dry and free from dust, dirt or any other surface contaminants.
- Remove any biological growth such as mould and algae with a suitable mould and mildew cleaner
- If required, use a suitable wood preserver before application, such as Protek Wood Preserver Plus
- Fill any gaps or splits in the wood with a suitable wood filler

Always do a test area before starting any project to test product suitability and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the container at all times.
- Mix thoroughly before and periodically during use
- Apply two coats of Protek Timber ECO Shield by pump garden sprayer, brush or roller
- Allow 3 hours between coats
- Extra coats will further enhance the colour and give more time before re-treatment is required
- Do Not apply in temperatures below 5°C
- Do Not apply to damp, wet or frozen timber
- Do Not apply if wet weather is expected within 48 hours

Regular Cleaning
Smooth wooden surfaces can be wiped down with a damp, lint-free cloth on a regular basis. A dedicated exterior wood cleaner may be used as and when required.
Maintenance
To maintain the finish and its protective qualities, simply apply a single coat of Protek Timber ECO Shield as and when required.

Great product for protecting my shed
Got Protek with my garden shed. Liked the product so much that I now buy the same when needing to protect the wooden shed. Provides good protection for a long period. Shed still looks in good condition.

Good
Did the shed and flower bed with it. Very easy to apply. Goes a long way, nice colour. The wood of the shed did work overnight after I applied it. Maybe it was too humid but would buy again.

Good coverage, easily applied and brushes can be cleaned in water
A thin milky liquid that can be applied to pre-treated external timber for waterproofing. Very low odour. Low viscosity means application to vertical surfaces has to be undertaken with care (don't overload brush to avoid drips).
Now 2-3 weeks after application, still seems to be working well in repelling water

Fantastic product, as I had read in your reviews it is very thin and watery but it went on great,leaves a whitish coat so it's easy to see were you have already painted. Drys clear but gives the wood a richness, just love it.Used on my free standing pond.

Delivered absolutely on time - well packed and a great product
Bought to treat a new quite expensive shed, are there any cheap ones worth buying. It is a pretreated shed by Power sheds. They advice using Protek Timber Eco Shield to give added protection. The clear coating adds a lovely depth of richness to the wood and gives a super finish. Would recommend to everybody looking to treat timber furniture or garden buildings, my gardener said it was the best wood treatment that he had used. Covered really well went a long way so twocoats and the finish is superb.

Really impressed
Bought this to paint some old reclaimed woods of varying degrees of quality to use for raised beds in the garden. Chose this because it was eco friendly and non toxic. Have been really impressed with it. Two coats and it has really firmed up the wood and given a great uniform finish.
