Overview
Polyvine Chalk Paint Maker is an odourless, waterbased additive, offering versitility to interior emulsion by creating a velvety finish chalk paint, once mixed. Ideal for furniture renovation and upcycling, achieving a range of finishes such as distressed, shabby chic and vintage look.

Please Note: Polyvine Chalk Paint Maker will not work on it's own and is an additive to be used with an emulsion.
Drying times and coverage will depend on the emulsion paint used. Always follow the directions on the tin.
Preparation
Ensure that surfaces to be treated are clean, dry and free from dirt, dust, grease, wax, polish and any other surface contaminants. Wax should be removed using white spirit.
Application
Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the container at all times.
- Mix together 1 part Polyvine Chalk Paint Maker to 2 parts of emulsion paint, ensuring the product is well mixed. Do not shake
- Apply 1 coat, following the instructions on the emulsion tin
- Apply further coats if needed, de-nibbing between applications
- Allow 2-4 hours between coats
- For overall drying time, follow the emulsion paint drying time
Distressed finish
- If a distressed look is required, apply 2 coats of contrasting colours
- Lightly de-nib the surface between coats
- Allow 2-4 hours between coats
- For overall drying time, follow the emulsion paint drying time
- Once dry, sand the top coat to reveal areas of the base coat colour
After Use
Protect the finish from water, steam or any liquid spillages during the first 5 days after application
Cleaning Equipment
Application equipment can be cleaned using soap and water. Once cleaned, allow to dry naturally.
Finishing
Surfaces coated with Polyvine Chalk Paint Maker should be finished with a suitable top coat such as a clear furniture wax
