Morrells Fastmatch Pre-Catalyst Lacquer

Morrells Fastmatch Pre-Catalyst Lacquer is a quick-drying, medium build, pigmented wood lacquer designed for spray application. Meets the requirements of BS (FIRA Std) 6250 for horizontal surfaces (excluding kitchen worktops). Available in any colour from a mainline colour chart including Pantone and RAL colour charts. Provide your colour reference in "Special Instructions" at checkout.

Please be aware that although RAL colour 9010 is described as 'Pure White', it is in-fact a slightly creamy off white. When picking colours from an online colour chart, screen resolution, colour, contrast and brightness setting all have an influence on the colour seen. Be sure that the correct colour code has been entered at the time of order.

The wood being worked on will influence the final colour, normally changing it by a shade or two. As an example, a light pine will add a slight yellowish influence and a dark wood such as oak will darken the shade by a few degrees. This can be avoided by using Morrells Opaque H.C. Free Pre-Catalyst Primer first.

The primer will fill in scratches and blemishes making sanding easier prior to applying the top coat(s). Being white in colour, our primer will provide a neutral base i.e. a 'blank canvas' thus providing the correct colour match.

Always do a small test area before starting any project to assess performance and end result. Follow the manufacturers instructions on the tin at all times.

1. This product can be applied with most types of spray equipment including HVLP, airless and air assisted. Spraying is strongly recommended
2. When using a primer, 2 top coats are recommended for the best results
3. For those who don't require a perfect match, the Fastmatch system can be applied directly to the wooden surface without a primer base coat - this will normally require at least 2 coats but 3 or more can be applied for added protection

Morrells Fastmatch Pre-Catalyst Lacquer is touch dry within 15 minutes and can be lightly sanded and re-coated within 45 minutes.
