Overview
Crown Solo One Coat Satin is a highly versatile, solvent-based satin paint that is suitable for most interior wood and metal surfaces.

Preparation
Ensure that all surfaces to be painted are clean, dry and free from dust, dirt and any other surface contaminants.
- If necessary, move or cover furniture or areas that are not to be painted
- Previously painted surfaces should be thoroughly sanded to provide a sound key for painting
- Remove all traces of sanding dust with a vacuum cleaner or slightly damp, lint-free cloth
- When painting new wood or metal, prime the surface first with Crown Undercoat and allow to dry
- Keep rooms well ventilated to reduce paint odour and improve drying times
Application
Always do a small test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin at all times.
Do not apply Crown Solo Satin paint in damp or humid conditions or in rooms with a temperature less than 10°C.
Stir the paint thoroughly before and periodically during use to ensure a consistent finish.
- Apply Solo One Coat Satin with a good quality synthetic brush
- Load paint generously and apply evenly and thickly, finishing in the direction of the wood grain
- In warm conditions, paint can dry very rapidly, so over-brushing should be avoided to prevent brush marks appearing in the finish
- Allow 4 hours to fully dry
Aftercare
Regular Cleaning
For regular cleaning, gently wipe painted surfaces with a soft, lint-free cloth. For light scuffs and marks, slightly dampen the cloth first.
Maintenance
To maintain the finish if it starts to look worn over time, simply apply a fresh coat of Crown Solo One Coat Satin, following the Preparation and Application instructions above.
