We are looking for a Front End Web Developer to come and join our Wood Finishes Direct Family. The job spec is as followed:
Create and maintain semantic, user-friendly, accessible, cross browser corporate websites using a variety of programming languages including HTML, CSS and JQuery.
Produce and update wireframes, mockups and prototypes.
Write well-structured, efficient and maintainable code, actively keeping the quality of the codebase high.
Work with a multidisciplinary team including back-end developers, marketing specialists and users.
Provide high-quality graphics and visual elements.
Optimize web applications to maximise performance.
Ensure the support of cross platform mobile devices.
Experience And Technical Skills
- Demonstrable experience of modern front-end development: Responsive Web Design, Performance Optimization and Accessibility.
- Experience of theme development for WordPress and other CMS.
- Extensive Javascript knowledge and experience of its use on e-commerce websites.
- Extensive experience of using Adobe Photoshop or similar graphics tools.
- Proficiency in web development browser tools for speedy debugging and development.
- Proficient with Smarty template engine and with libraries including Bootstrap.
This is a permanent role within a rapidly growing business. We are looking for someone with demonstrable experience of web development in an e-commerce or corporate environment. With your application please include a portfolio of websites or web design projects that showcase your skills.
