Polyurethane oil or PU oil provides good strength to your wood. Most products containing polyurethane provide an orange finish, but this product is about as clear as an oil can be...water white!

Because it is water based it is also easily tinted with our concentrated water based dyes. It forms a film on the surface which gives it a very water resistant finish. Initial coats should be applied thinly to help form a better base. The third coat and subsequent coats can be applied heavier.

Another great advantage of this product is that it still dries within 2 hours despite the fact that it is water based. Being water based there are no bad smells.

PU Oil is very versatile and is suitable for most woods and is specifically designed for areas needing added protection such as floors and table tops etc.

A paint brush is a good way to neatly apply PU Oil but for large areas a foam roller is very quick and even. It is also easy to apply with a spray gun.

Container Sizes and coverage
PU Oil will cover approx. 20 Square metres per litre depending on the temperature, amount applied and the type of wood being worked on.
1lt: Will cover 2 large chests of drawers (outside surfaces only) with one coat.
5lt: Will cover approx 10mtrs x 10mtrs (33ft x 33ft approx) with one coat.

Drying Time
A thick coat will dry within 4 hours and a thin coat will dry in around 2 hours.
