The perfect basecoat for Pre-cat Lacquer

Although it is sometimes suitable to apply a varnish coat on coat without a basecoat we recommend using a sealer basecoat to ensure the best finish. This pre-cat basecoat has excellent sanding properties to produce a smooth surface ready for application of a varnish top coat.

This basecoat also contains filling agents so that fine scratches and blemishes are suitably sealed to provide a smooth prepared surface. With increased penetration, this base coat sinks further into the surface grain which helps with adhesion.

This product can be applied with most types of spray equipment including HVLP, airless and air assisted.

Coverage

7 square metres per litre
5lt: Enough to cover about 3 large wardrobes with 2 coats.
25lt: Enough to cover about 15 large wardrobes with 2 coats.

Drying Time

Our Precat Sealer is touch dry within 15-20 minutes. It can be sanded and re-coated within 60-90mins.
