The perfect basecoat for Acid-cat Lacquer

It is sometimes suitable to apply our acid cat lacquers coat on coat but it is generally wise to use a sealer for several reasons. Firstly our acid cat sealers contain sanding properties so that it can be easily cut back to produce a smooth surface ready for the top coat. It also contains filling agents so that fine scratches and other blemishes are filled and will not show through as easily. With increased penetration, this base coat sinks further into the surface grain which helps with adhesion and also helps to assist with a smoother result.

This product can be applied with most types of spray equipment including HVLP, airless and air assisted.

Coverage

8 square metres per litre
5lt: Enough to cover about 3 large wardrobes with 2 coats.
25lt: Enough to cover about 15 large wardrobes with 2 coats.

Drying Time

Our Acid cat sealer is touch dry within 15-20 minutes. It can be sanded and recoated within 60-90mins.
