This solvent based Nitrocellulose aerosol lacquer, also known as pre-cat or pre-catalysed lacquer offers a convenient way of applying a spray lacquer without the need for a dedicated spray system.

Ideal for finishing Musical instruments including guitars and pianos.

This Pre-catalysed solvent based lacquer is a pre-mixed varnish and cellulose mix that is ready for use straight from an aerosol can.

As with regular Pre-cat lacquers, the aerosol version is also available in all sheen levels between 10% and 90% sheen.

Pre-cat lacquer has never been easier to apply than with these handy aerosol cans. With no set up or expensive equipment, simply shake the can to get a good mix and you're ready to go.

Available in 400ml cans, coverage is approximately 4 square metres per can depending on application. This pre-cat spray lacquer becomes touch dry in approximately 15 - 20 minutes and is ready for a fine sanding and application of further coats within 60 - 90 minutes.

Recommendation

This product is not recommended for areas requiring high durability like kitchens etc. We recommend Acid-cat Lacquer for table tops and floors.
