Teak Sealer

A protective coating and colour intensifier for hardwood garden furniture

This oil based treatment has been designed to be easy to use, offering a quick improvement to tired and tatty looking garden furniture. It contains a little colour so that it helps to restore garden furniture to its former glory. It will not form a seal/barrier on the surface of the wood, thus allowiing the wood to breathe. Normally 2 coats are required which will give your furniture greater protection from weathering etc.

Some of the hardwoods that this product is ideal for use on are: Teak, Ipe, Ironwood, Iroko, Idigbo, Meranti and Cedar. These woods have a tighter grain that is often quite oily too. As a result conventional oils find it harder to penetrate the grain where as Teak Sealer is thinner which allows it to pass through the smaller pores easier.

Preparation

Clean the wood before use with Barrettine Teak Cleaner and lightly sand if necessary.

Application

Simply apply the Teak Sealer (generously) with the spray bottle supplied, ensuring all areas have been covered. Leave for 20 minutes and wipe away the excess oil.
