Ronseal Super Flexible Primer and Undercoat helps prepare bare exterior wood before top coating with Ronseal's 10 Year Exterior Wood Paints. Also ensures the 10 Year guarantee. Use the white undercoat for the light colour range or grey wood primer for all other colours. Can be used on previously painted wood to cover bold colours and dark marks.
Ensure the wood surface to be painted with Ronseal Primer and Undercoat is clean, dry and free from dirt, dust and grease. Put down dust sheets to cover anything that you don't want to get paint on.
Always do a small test area before starting any project and follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin at all times. Stir contents of tin thoroughly before and during application.
very happy with the product I would use again in the future
Gives a good finish but benefits from light sand after first coat. Easy to clean brushes in water and soap. Great price and excellent delivery.
As above, but will be aware of quantities required when purchasing in future.
Fantastic product. Superb coverage. Can't imagine there is a better like-for-like product on the market. Extremely pleased.
Quick drying ,especially useful in our climate. Covers up well and provides the perfect finish for the top coat
Quick drying and good coverage ,easy to apply
Ordered few garden paints and it arrived on time in well packed cartons. They were in a bargain price and very pleased with the service.
Paired with the 10 year top coat Gave a nice finish on some exterior window cils
Doesn't cover as well as I thought it would but provides a good base coat.
Easy to use, good coverage and worked really well with Ronseal exterior wood paint.
Covers well. Leaves a good finish for the top coat.
Goes on very nicely and gives excellent surface for painting.
Very flexible and because it is grey easy to know where to paint over, once again water based so easy to clean
I was unsure about undercoating the exterior wood as I am pretty clueless when it comes to DIY, but I took the advice of Wood Finish Direct and went ahead and did it. Two coats of grey undercoat? I was a bit weary about how it wood look after I had painted over it. No need to worry it looks superb, and I am glad I did
Good surface finish is inevitable and the paint is quite quick drying enabling fast progress to be made.
I desperately needed this undercoat to finish the high barge boards before the weather turned and had tried to get it at three local suppliers (not that local actually as we are in the middle of the country) so it was great to add it to my specialist order and have it arrive with no more hassle.
Good coverage, needs 2 coats provides good base.
